Dannon Settles Class-Action Suit Over Yogurt Benefits

Dannon agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit earlier this week brought by consumers over claims that Dannon falsely advertised the health benefits of its yogurt. The $45 million settlement will be available to consumers as rebate checks up to $100. As part of the settlement, Dannon agreed to remove the words "clinically" and "scientifically proven" from labels and advertisements of Activia yogurt. James F.
