Helmets don't do any good unless you fasten them.

Here's a report on KSDK about a man who died after losing control of his motorcycle and his helmet came off before he went down.  It is more likely than not that he failed to close his helmet.  I hear many excuses about why helmets shouldn't be worn.  This guy lost his life probably because his helmet came off.  What a waste. If you ride, make sure you have a DOT helmet and make sure you fasten it.   Arrive alive.
